About Joseph
There is so much to say since the last time I updated this page. I was recently diagnosed with bipolar disorder (you can go here for a complete list of the DSM IV codes to get an at least clinical view of what that means), lost a series of jobs which caused me to choose between being homeless and living with my parents (I hope that the choice is obvious), and am now just in rest mode. I need to regroup for a bit, at least for a month, before I go back out and take on the world again. That in the end, really, is what life is about. Getting up from the mud whenever life knocks you down.
Since I’ve been home I’ve taken some pictures of my nephew. At 2 years old he’s a terror, but he’s so cute no one really minds too much.
I’m still very much a Christian and I even tried returning to attending church but that proved to be too big a step, considering the church I went to had nearly a thousand plus people at any given Sunday mass (yes, I am born and raised Roman Catholic). It was too emotionally and physically draining, so I just read the Bible at home and tried not to do any work on Sundays.
As for interests, well I would still love to learn different languages. I think it’s imperative that in today’s connected global society that we try and learn each other’s languages while keeping our native tongues alive. The following languages are ones that I have a strong desire to learn, in no particular order.
- French (learning)
- German
- Spanish
- Esperanto
- Hungarian
- Italian
There are others I would like to learn but aren’t high up on any sort of to-do list.
As for anything else of interest, well read my journal and I’ll keep you posted.
